As there was a lot of interest about the series at that particular moment, due to the exciting season ending, the game campaign became very popular and got a lot of positive response from HBO Nordic's users. Additionally, the game was set up as a landingpage, which meant that the visual universe from Game of Thrones could be expressed in the campaign. Furthermore, the landingpage was used to draw attention to some of the other series, that the viewers could watch now that the Game of Thrones season had ended. Thereby, HBO Nordic could ensure that several of their customers stuck around.
The campaign was set up so that you had to answer the questions and, then register so you could see how many questions you had answered correctly and, thus, how big of a Game of Thrones nerd you really were. This also led to the campaign receiving many new leads and, thus, HBO Nordic expanded their audience for future online marketing.
